Official Rules
Frontier Alaska Golden Days 2008 Mini Golf Tournament
1. Each
team will play both the Alaskan (18 holes) and Pro (18 holes) Courses
for a total of 36 holes and 2 completed scorecards.
2. Shotgun Start: if necessary,
each team will be assigned to a starting hole. The team will play
all 18 holes in consecutive order. So a team starting at Hole (6)
will continue playing each hole to (18), and then start at (1) and
finish playing at (5).
3. First Shot: must be taken for
each player at the start position for each hole. A ball hit by
another ball may be placed back to its original position without
penalty. Each player on a team must use a different colored ball.
4. Continued Play: after each
player has taken their first shot, the player whose ball is CLOSEST to
the hole plays first, and continues play until they finish the
hole. The player with the next closest ball will play second,
until all players have finished the hole.
5. Low Score, Team of 4
Format: The team’s lowest score on each hole is circled on the
scorecard and the team’s final score is calculated as the total of the
circled scores. The team of 4 will then submit their
scorecard for the course on which they scored better. The other
scorecard will be entered in prize drawings.
6. Curbs, Borders, Rocks, and
Bumpers: a player whose ball stops within (1) putter head of the border
may move the ball to a distance not more than (1) putter head from the
border without a penalty.
7 Penalty Strokes: a player
who hits the ball outside the playing area must take a (1) stroke
penalty and continue play from the place that the ball exited the
playing area.
8. Scoring: scoring is based on the
honor system; all strokes including penalties are counted for the hole,
with an 8 stroke maximum for each hole. Team captain is the designated
score keeper.
9. Final Decisions: All questions
and final decisions will be made by designated tournament officials in
regards to rules and scoring.
10. Players who are intoxicated,
obnoxious, or otherwise deemed to be disturbing the family atmosphere
of the venue will be asked to leave the course.
11. Entry fees are non-refundable.
